HOW WE TESTstandard operating procedure, no AI involved
- Coin file. Name, links, creator and market data from pump.fun's API, with DexScreener as backup.
- The website, in a real browser. Headless Chrome loads it, takes the mugshot, logs errors, failed requests and page weight, then presses up to 12 buttons one by one and watches: did the page change, navigate, open a modal, send a request, ask a wallet? If nothing happened, that's a dead button, photographed.
- Fingerprints. Lovable, v0, bolt.new and friends; leftover template titles; placeholder filler text; “launching later” notices; round-number stats on a day-old coin; whether the site shows this CA or a different one.
- Domain. Registration date from RDAP, compared with the coin's birth. Free subdomains (vercel.app, lovable.app…) are their own category.
- Code, X, dev. GitHub repo age and commits; X account age, followers and whether it matches; how many coins this dev wallet launched, and how many this week.
- Verdict. Every finding adds or removes points, shown on the score sheet. Start at 50. 65+ is REAL TEK, but only with proof: code with real commits that is tied to this coin (not just named like it), a product that answered, a wallet button that works, docs that load, buttons that lead into an app, or a page that runs a real app (its own API, a live connection, a game engine). Below that, whichever kind of real problem cost more points names it: missing or borrowed tek is LARP, broken tek is SLOP (what every new coin has, like a fresh domain or a new X account, costs points but never picks the label). Verdicts are cached for 30 minutes.
